Vein tin ore is an important type of tin ore with a high tin content, but it often contains some impurities that affect the recovery rate of tin. In order to improve the recovery rate of tin ore, we conducted a gravity beneficiation experiment. This article will introduce the specific operating steps and results of this experiment.
1、 Preparation before testing
Before conducting the experiment, we need to carry out a series of pre-treatment work on the vein tin ore in order to better carry out subsequent gravity beneficiation. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Crushing of ore: Crush the vein tin ore to achieve a particle size between 0.5-2mm.
2. Ore washing: Wash the ore with water to remove surface sediment and debris.
3. Drying of ore: Dry the ore to keep its moisture content below 5%.
2、 Specific operating steps of the experiment
1. Selection of gravity beneficiation equipment: We have selected spiral and vibration beneficiation machines for testing.
2. Test conditions setting: We set the inclination angle of the spiral sorting machine to 9 degrees and the speed to 180r/min; Set the amplitude of the vibration concentrator to 2mm and the frequency to 25Hz.
3. Operation steps of the test:
(1) Uniformly place the pre processed vein tin ore into the spiral sorting machine, turn on the equipment, and proceed with sorting.
(2) Place the selected tin concentrate from the spiral separator into the vibrating separator, turn on the equipment, and proceed with the beneficiation.
(3) Dry the tin concentrate extracted from the vibrating concentrator to obtain the final tin concentrate product.
3、 Analysis of test results
After gravity beneficiation experiments, we obtained the following experimental results:
The beneficiation effect of the spiral separator is good, and the recovery rate of tin concentrate has reached over 80%.
2. The beneficiation effect of the vibrating concentrator is poor, and the recovery rate of tin concentrate is only about 60%.
After two gravity beneficiation processes, the grade of the tin concentrate reached over 70%, meeting production requirements.
Summary
Through this gravity beneficiation experiment of vein tin ore, we found that the spiral separator has a good effect in the beneficiation of vein tin ore and can effectively improve the recovery rate of tin. The effect of the vibration concentrator is poor, and further optimization and improvement are needed. In actual production, we can select different gravity beneficiation equipment according to different ore characteristics, so as to better improve the ore recovery.
